UNECE asked for a public-site redesign. The audit revealed a deeper problem: officials could not complete an assessment reliably. I redesigned the focal point experience and rebuilt the core Drupal workflow, added new indicators and supported a three-country pilot. Live since June 2026.
What changed: additional indicators were incorporated; officials gained clearer workflows and draft saving; UNECE staff gained operational controls; users and IT received tailored guides.
The platform I inherited was poorly built. I rebuilt it so UNECE staff can run it, incorporated additional indicators, redesigned the focal point workspace and took three pilot countries through a full assessment. I also wrote the operating guides for UNECE staff, focal points and UNECE IT, who now maintain it.
