How this website handles information about you. Šarūnas Vaitkus runs sarunasvaitkus.com.

What this page covers

This page is about the personal site at sarunasvaitkus.com. It covers the contact form, the AI assistant on this website, Google Analytics, and a few settings kept in your browser.

The same page in Lithuanian: Privatumas.

Contact form

The Contact and Message me buttons open a form. It asks for:

On the Lithuanian pages the form also asks when you need an answer. That question is optional. If you answer it, the answer is added to the note, and the note is marked as sent from the Lithuanian site.

The assistant has its own short form: your name, your organisation, your email address, and a short note. Name and email are required. The other two can be left blank. If you send that form, the recent chat is sent with it, up to the last 20 messages. The form opened from Contact or Message me does not include the chat.

The form exists so Šarūnas can read what you need and reply.

Your browser sends the form to a Supabase Edge Function called chat, at bmtnfhppzrkztmqzwrhx.supabase.co. The function stores one record in a Postgres table named leads, in the assistant schema of that Supabase project. That record holds your name, organisation, email, note, and the chat history sent with the form. The history is the conversation after the function trims it to the last 20 messages, with each message cut to 2,000 characters. It includes what you typed and the assistant's replies. The form opened from Contact or Message me sends no chat, so that history is empty.

A separate message goes to Šarūnas on Telegram. That message has your name, organisation, email and note, plus only the last four questions you typed. Each of those questions is cut to 300 characters. The assistant's replies are not in the Telegram message.

A separate log records that a contact form was used. That log line does not contain your name or email. It stores a short code calculated from your IP address. The address itself is not stored, and it cannot be recovered from the code.

The database is set to delete these contact records after 12 months. The Telegram message stays in that chat until it is removed there.

AI assistant on this website

Ask my AI assistant opens a chat on the page. Your question and the recent turns of the conversation are sent to the same chat function. When you send a chat message, the function sends that conversation to Anthropic. Anthropic writes the reply with the Claude model claude-haiku-5-5, through api.anthropic.com, unless the function is configured with a different API address. The request also includes the assistant's instructions and published material about Šarūnas's work. Submitting a contact form does not call Anthropic. The name, organisation, email and note from the form are not sent to the model. From you, only the text you type into the chat messages can reach it.

The function stores each question and reply in a table named question_log, with counts of how much text the model read and wrote, and a status. It stores the same kind of short code from your IP address, so it can limit how many messages one visitor sends. It does not store the raw IP address. The database is set to delete these chat logs after 90 days.

This browser also keeps the chat in session storage, under the key sv-assistant-v2, until you close the tab. That copy stays on your device.

Google Analytics

Each page loads Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-KN31FWTLQ1, from googletagmanager.com. Google uses cookies to recognise a browser and count visits. With this tag those cookies are _ga and _ga_KN31FWTLQ1. The site does not choose its own expiry. Google keeps them for up to two years. The site does not show a cookie banner.

Other storage in your browser

The site's own scripts do not set cookies. They do save a few settings in local storage on your device:

These stay until you clear this site's data in the browser. They are not sent to the server.

Some project pages embed a YouTube video from youtube.com. YouTube can set its own cookies when that video loads. The FOD and safety refresher page embeds a demo from app.7taps.com, which can set cookies of its own when the demo loads.

Pages also load typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. That request goes to Google.

Asking for deletion

Use the contact form. Write that you want your information deleted, and include the email address you used or the approximate date of the chat, so the right records can be found. The form sends that request the same way as any other message. It does not delete the records by itself. Contact records are removed after 12 months, and chat logs after 90 days, whether or not you ask.
